AnimationTech is the trading name of Network Entourage Inc., an S-corporation founded in 2008. We rent workstations, render nodes, storage and networking to VFX, animation and post-production studios, and we run the IT that sits underneath them.
Two halves. We rent hardware by the month — imaged to your pipeline, delivered, installed and supported — and we run studio infrastructure: TPN and MPA compliance work, managed support, buildouts when a facility opens or moves, and isolated environments for shows under content-security terms.
We are based at 3380 Flair Dr in El Monte and serve Los Angeles directly, often same-day. Equipment ships nationwide.
A lot of studios that get into trouble were never budgeting the whole picture — they budgeted the hardware, because that is the part with a price tag on it, and discovered the rest on the way. The calculators exist to fix that, and they are free because a studio that budgets properly is a better client than one that does not.
They also sometimes conclude that you should buy rather than rent, or run in the cloud rather than on our hardware. We left those conclusions in. A tool that always recommends the person who built it is not worth using.
Every figure in the tools is in a public register with its source, the date we retrieved it, and a confidence grade assigned by who published it rather than by how sure we feel. Where no source exists that we could stand behind, the tool asks you for the number instead of inventing one — twelve figures were removed on exactly that basis, and they are listed too.
